Objectives

To contribute to the academic development of political and social psychology in Peru and Latin America through the rigorous generation of scientific knowledge, the promotion of spaces for reflection and academic debate, and the implementation of practical applications that respond to real social needs.

Research Topics

  • Culture, Organizations and Work: Culture, subjectivity and labor processes in contexts of power and/or social vulnerability. Work, organizations and entrepreneurship for a social purpose. Discourse and social aesthetics.
  • Political Ideology and Political Processes: Conservatism, authoritarianism and social dominance, justification of inequality.
  • Social violence and culture of peace: political and social violence, collective and historical memory, psychosocial factors in transitional justice processes.
  • Citizen and community participation: Psychosocial factors of participation, mobilization and social conflict, attitudes towards dialogue and repression of protest.
  • Identity processes and intergroup relations: social identity, national identity, sense of community, prejudice and discrimination, intergroup conflict.
