Objectives

  • To produce knowledge about psychoanalytic concepts, psychoanalytic psychotherapeutic intervention and psychoanalytic psychodiagnosis, and the application of psychoanalysis to culture and human development.
  • Disseminate this knowledge through periodical publications, books and book chapters and academic events.
  • To organize academic events related to psychoanalytic topics relevant to the above areas.
  • To train researchers in these areas through doctoral, master's and undergraduate thesis advising.
  • Generate methodological models for psychoanalytic research that serve to foster research with peer programs from international institutions.

  • Study of change based on the analysis of relevant episodes of the therapeutic process.
  • Relational patterns, conflict and vulnerabilities in psychic functioning in the psychoanalytic clinic and psychotherapeutic process.
